Any fan of Alan Jackson would be able to tell this song before even the vocals start, it has Alan’s true blue country feel. As soon as the vocals start you cant mistake that smooth southern voice. As many know Alan speaks on real life topics in his songs, and this one is no different. At first listen it’s quite similar to Small Town Southern Man off Jackson previous release Good Time, the lyrics even portray a similar message “God Bless The Working Man”. The song praises the men (and women) who work hard to earn a living and who keep our country together, showing also that they are barely recognized for their work. It’s one of those songs that everyone should be able to appreciate, and is certainly soon to be an Alan Jackson classic. It’s not as upbeat as Chattahoochee but it’s a toe-tapper. Freight Train is Jackson’s 18th studio release and will be out in stores and online starting March 30. Itunes will have exclusive tracks each week counting down to the album, Hard Hat and A Hammer is out now, Every Now and Then will be available March 16 and Where I Belong will be available March 23, you can then use Itunes ‘complete your album’ feature to complete your album on the release date. Make sure you pick up your copy.
Countrymusicislove.com will be giving away downloads of each single until the much anticipated release. They also have an Ipod touch stocked with Alan’s entire Arista catalog that also happens to be signed by Alan himself. Then 5 of the runner ups will win a signed copy of Freight Train. Check out countrymusicislove.com for more information.

So, I haven’t been on all too much lately. Well there is this thing called school and its taking up my life. Oh well it’ll be worth it in the long run.
Anyways, Concerts the reason for this whole crazy blog. Well I’m going to my next one on Sunday. I’m seeing Martina McBride and Trace Adkins. I’m pretty excited. I’ve seen them both twice already and they never disappoint.
Also, next month many of you know I was going to be seeing Chuck Wicks again, well come to find out the show is only for OSU students so that is a no go. But instead I’m going up to Toledo to see We Should Whisper with some other people. I’ve been friends with Lamoni (the mastermind behind WSW) for a while now so I’m pretty stoked to get to see him finally. Plus a few of my friends are going.

Man oh Man, im gonna keep this one short and sweet, mostly because no words can describe how…perfect…the concert was.
Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and Justin Moore put on the best show ive ever seen. EVER! Brad blew me away. He’s even better live then recorded. He lived up to all my expectations and then topped them.
He walked through the crowd, i ran to the floor, and then go to touch him, by the time i got back to my seat i was crying and shaking. Everyone looked at me like I was an idiot but I honestly don’t care. I freaking made eye contact with Brad Paisley and Touched him. yeah, im still in shock.
Some have asked, was it worth waiting 10 years to see him live? YES YES YES and i can guarantee that it wont be 10 years before i see him again.
So this is my first real post, that has something to do with music. :]
I’ve held off on posting since I couldn’t think of what to call this portion of the blog, since its not really a review. So I think i’m going to call it, Undiscovered Talent. Artists that ARE NOT signed!
